We build a Banach spaceX such that the compact subsets ofX admit centers,X satisfies the situation (Q) andX isn't really quasi uniformly rotund. It follows that the Banach spaceE=c 0(X) has the valuables from the name.

Remernher that for these association studies, the dependent variable is the actual within-pair trait difference, not the absolute or squared difference. There is an implied order within members of a pair, which could be based on an exposure or covariate of interest (5), or may be arbitrary. The independent variable is the ordered difference in the number of disease alleles, and can take the values -2, -1, 0, 1 or 2. The fitted lie should be constrained to pass through the origin; see Fig. 1. Note that pairs with the same number of disease alleles have no influence on this fitted line.
