Those are the skeleton notes of an undergraduate path given on the PCMI convention in 2003. I may still prefer to thank the organisers and my viewers for a very stress-free 3 weeks. The record is written in LATEX2e and may be to be had in tex, playstation , pdf and clvi layout from my domestic web page
This e-book stories fresh advances within the use of SAR imagery for operational functions and for aiding technology investigations of the polar oceans. the $64000 parameters which are extracted from spaceborne SAR imagery are mentioned. Algorithms utilized in such analyses are defined and information platforms utilized in generating the ocean ice items are supplied.

The less sensitive molybdenumblue color method has also been used [6, 9] ; in the version employed in the author's laboratory, adequate sensitivity was achieved by use of a specially designed spectrophotometer cell. Emission spectroscopy and neutron activation have also been used to determine the arsenic collected on a solid adsorbent. The former method has relatively poor precision, whereas the latter is too specialized for general use. In the most recent work, the color reaction between arsine and silver diethyldithiocarbamate in pyridine has been used to estimate the arsenic.
